Sonal reported here with chief complaints of limited speech milestones (only 15 to 18 words) with poor social interaction skill, with lack of fine motor abilities, with self abusive behaviour with disturbed sleep.

Her birth history was suggestive of prolonged labor with vacuum extraction; All the milestones achieved were late (walking 4 year). Her EEG at 9 year of age was suggestive of mild to moderate slowing of background waves.

On examination normal tone was found in all 4 limbs. Functionally she was walking independently but reluctant to squat. Managing staircases without support was difficult.

• There was a tendency of throwing every objects instead of playing with them.
• Her speech was limited to around 20 monosyllables with poor quality of speech.
• Sleep was very less and disturbed and use to get up in between sleep frequently and was becoming irritable.
• In her activities of daily living, she was completely dependent on others.
• Her social interaction skills were poor and used to play in her own world mainly; on getting irritated she use to bang her head, bite her tongue with clinching of teeth, with frequent crying spells.

Improvements noted in 5 months of G – Therapy :

• Better sleeping pattern now (less Irritable in between sleep now & more sleep too)
• Tendency of excessive crying spells has reduced.
• Slightly better social interaction skill.
• Drooling has reduced.
• Started sitting in squatting position.
• No changes in speech reported.
• Better understanding now.
