Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a range of conditions characterized by symptoms or signs such as abnormalities of social interactions and communication, as well as highly restricted interests and repetitive behavior. These signs typically begin before a child is three years old. The three forms of ASD are Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Pervasive developmental disorders not otherwise specified (PDD - NOS).
