Integrative Approaches for Special Needs Conference (IASN) 2011

The IASN 2011 Conference is a new dialogue initiative on integrative approaches in the treatment and support of individuals with developmental and neurological disabilities.
The conference will be on 11 June 2011 at our Center for Life Sciences, Health and Medicine in Pune, India (near Mumbai).
Currently management of individuals with special needs mainly depends upon assistive technology – speech therapy, behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, symptomatic drug therapy for convulsions, involuntary movements etc. and surgery for corrective measures.
However there is emerging research, including developments in the areas of alternative and integrative medicine, e.g. Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Meditation, Music Therapy, etc, which offers the promise of further contributing to the quality of life for people with special needs.
Our own research with G Therapy (a combination of homeopathic and biochemic remedies) has shown significant documented improvements in over 10,000 cases of conditions like Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Brain Injury, Stroke, etc.
With IASN we seek to discuss these approaches and their complementary contribution in enriching the lives of special needs children and adults. Our hope is to start a dialogue which could help bring together the diverse initiatives in this field.
In this light, we invite the participation of experts and those actively involved in enriching the lives of special needs people around the world.
The conference will be held at our award-winning Center campus. There is no entry fee for participants but registration is compulsary. Food and refreshments will be served at the venue. Participants will have to arrange for their own travel and lodging expenses.
Details on the sessions in the conference will be finalized in the next weeks.
